Following on from my previous post, one more picture featuring the wonderful Lulu Lockhart.
On an early morning, we went for a shoot in a long-abandoned ruin. The lower hall was below ground level: its walls were carved from rock, and covered in damp earth; the bright green leaves of plants, mosses and lichens were scattered across them.
Lulu made this pose while perched on one of the rocky ledges. In the soft light filtering from the open sky above, her skin tone lit up brightly and made her stand right out from the background. No artificial lighting required! The monochrome conversion emphasises her luminous skin tone, and puts her in the context of the layers of rocks.
To my delight, this image won a Gold Medal in a FIAP exhibition in Arizona.
The picture was made with a Nikon Z7 and Nikkor Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S lens.
