Amsterdam Centraal Station has a transparent roof where it backs onto the waterfront. Last weekend, I saw this wonderful glow of orange light as the bright, early-autumn sun passed through a strongly coloured panel on the roof. The light was so directional as it reflected off the pavement below, I had to walk around to get the strongest reflection; it was almost invisible when looking from the other side. As I watched, cyclists started to pass through the glow. A quick click gave the picture above. What could be more Dutch? Cycling and bright orange.
