This blog is just to record that earlier this summer I was awarded my EFIAP distinction — Excellence of the Fédération Internationale de l'Art Photographique.
As I mentioned in a previous entry, I was awarded their first-level distinction AFIAP in 2019. I had intended to carry on entering FIAP salons to complete my EFIAP, but the Covid-19 pandemic became so all-consuming that for 2020 I simply stopped. At that point, I had more than enough acceptances for my AFIAP and was on the way to EFIAP.
It was only in 2021 that I felt like starting up again on the FIAP trail. I started entering salons again in March 2021 and with entries to salons in August I had more than achieved the criteria for EFIAP. In the process, I was awarded various medals and other awards (including some gold medals). I applied for EFIAP at the next available time in February this year, and heard in June that I had been successful. The certificate, a sticker and a little pin badge arrived a little later. Happy bunny!
For reference: I explained the general process of entering FIAP salons in the earlier entry. For UK entrants, criteria for FIAP distinctions can be found on the PAGB website.
To close, here is one of the images that achieved a gold medal (in the 6th Danube Digital Circuit 2021, Serbia).
