My daughter is living is a women's cooperative building close to the Berkeley campus. I felt quite privileged, as a member of the patriarchy, to be invited in. It was an amazing place - in many ways the living continuation of the Bezerkely of legend.
Something that really caught my eye was the decorations on the walls: paintings, cartoons, and endless written comments. Apparently they accumulate over years, until the time comes for the place to be re-decorated.
Here are a few pictures that represent a little of the atmosphere. I think that anyone living there is incredibly lucky.
